So you think you can fly!

Once I had my meditation and personal well-being (Tibetan mantra) session in Kathmandu, I felt like I was ready to continue my journey to Pokhara ... not by flight as I had heard so many stories about flights being canceled due to inclement weather and whatnot; so I took the scenic route via the Greenline bus departing Kathmandu at 7:30 am and arriving in Pokhara around 2:30 pm for US$23 (lunch included). Nonetheless, I also heard that the views from above of the Himalayas and even Mt. Everest are so worth the flight!

Once I found my accommodation, Hotel Tara, I headed out to find a place for a tandem paragliding session. It's worth noting that Pokhara is  one of the top 5 locations for tandem paragliding in the world!
Although I forgot the name of the establishment I chose or the one recommended through my hotel, the experience was definitely one to remember as it did overshadow my previous road experience from the Tibetan border to Kathmandu.
This tandem paragliding  flight takes off from Sarangkot (pre-trek warm-up spot) which is 30 minutes away from the city by jeep through a somewhat rough road) , and then you simply run off the cliff and glide through the air over Phewa Lake while also experiencing some acrobatic spiraling as you descend next to the lake.
  • The World Peace Pagoda:
As per WikiTravel: "Opened in 1999 atop a hill just south of Phewa Tal, the Stupa is the first Peace Pagoda to be constructed in Nepal and offers great views of the Annapurna Mountains, including Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and Annapurna III. This is a great place to watch the sunrise or sunset over Pokhara. The easiest way to get there is to take a taxi to the base of the Peace Pagoda (NPR1000 return, including waiting)."

... and so I did, I took the taxi there and just contemplate in awe the views and waited for the sunset; but if you happen to be a trekker, check out these routes.
Fun fact:
Most locals asked or were in doubt as to my looks; some even saying that I looked like a sherpa.

Some of the other sites that I visited were:
  • The Devil's Fall  and the Gupteswar Mahadev Cave:
... and my tour could not have been completed without visiting the following two museums:
  • International Mountain Museum
  • Gurkha Memorial Museum
